The slim book stood out at the bookshop.
In its reading this series arose. It was a sustained engagement with Swami Vivekananda’s commentary of the Patañjali Yogasūtra.
First time I completely let go of form. The paintings emerged without the need for recognizable imagery. The work became about my first steps into serious enquiry.
I was following the voice that spoke with the cadence of  Advaita Vedānta.
I never went beyond the first chapter of the Yogasūtra.
Something else called me, and I followed.
Looking back, this series stands as a threshold—a moment when painting ceased to describe experience and began to participate in it.
